Biography[]

Season 1[]

Evan is a former student at Newton High School who now attends a nearby technical school. He was harshly punished and expelled from Newton High School for stealing a tuba and other musical instruments from the band room and pawning them to random customers.

Casey Gardner is Evan's ex-girlfriend. He starts to like her and he asks her to go out with him on a date at the beginning of this Season, after he finds out that she defended his younger sister, Beth, by punching bully Bailey Bennett in the face at school and getting suspended for it. Despite Casey initially rejecting him in favor of focusing on track, they quickly become friends and get together later on. In fact, he has sex with Casey in his house after she became very disoriented when she saw her mother, Elsa, giving a goodbye kiss to Nick outside of the bar.

Season 2[]

Evan spends time with Casey and Nate at the pizza restaurant. It didn't go well when Nate acts disrespectful to Evan, who leaves the restaurant since he tells Casey that he doesn't like how Nate is a snobbish jerk to him. Also, he says to Casey how she has changed when she switched schools.

In a short time, Evan apologizes to Casey for the way he acted back at the restaurant. Furthermore, he is invited to Casey's 16th birthday party by Casey's parents. Feeling upset about how she was mistreated by Izzie at Clayton Prep, Casey gets mad at her parents for starting her birthday party without her permission and she tells everyone to leave, while she storms upstairs to her bedroom. This is not before Evan telling Casey to stop being grumpy and immature.

Following this, Evan is shown laying on the same bed with Casey and Sharice. They are enjoying each other's company.

Season 3[]

In New Hampshire, Beth makes Evan and Casey to meet her stepmother and father, who abandoned Evan when he was younger, in a family reunion. It gets heated when his father says that Evan should attend school, despite Evan being content with his job as a pizza employee. Casey stands up for Evan, saying his father wasn't there for Evan when he needed him, and he doesn't have the right to dictate Evan's choices because Evan is a legal adult now. Evan and Casey share a strong embrace, strengthening their bond with one another.

They continue dating until Casey breaks up with Evan after telling him about her feelings for Izzie and kissing her outside of Clayton Prep that night. He accepts it, but he is very heartbroken. He leaves to cry inside of his car. Sam arrives to meet Evan, and he asks if Evan will help him find a new best friend, the "new Zahid". However, Evan wants to be left alone and tells Sam to back off. Not long after Sam left, Casey's father, Doug, comes into the scene to ask if Evan can come inside of his house or not to prevent himself to look like a creep all night, but Evan tells him that he and Casey both broke up with each other and he says that he can't leave now. Doug understands Evan, cheering him up until he gets better to move on with his life.

After he gets over with being broken up by Casey and when he is seen at the pizza restaurant serving food to customers, Casey arrives to the restaurant to apologize to him and she wishes to remain friends with him. Fortunately, he chooses to remain friends with her onward.

Season 4[]
